Miłosz Jankowski, MD, PhD


Miłosz Jankowski, MD, PhD is  a specialist in anaesthesia and intensive care, and internal medicine, working as a Deputy Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, State Institute of Medicine of the Ministry of Interion and Administration in Warsaw, Poland.

His major area of clinical and scientific interest involves intensive care, in particular respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal life support (mainly ECMO), severe infections including COVID-19, shock, and thromboembolic complications as well as quality improvement and application of the Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) paradigm in critical care.

He is also part-time senior lecturer at Thromboembolic Disease Unit, Institute of Cardiology, Jagiellonian University Medical College, Krakow, Poland, involved in under-graduate teaching of EBM. His interest in EBM resulted in cooperation with Cochrane and co-authorship of systematic reviews. He is a member of several scientific societies including European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, and International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
